Christmas Snow Candles
We love making beautiful container candles and pillars but at this time of year, when everyone is super busy, we do not mind a little short cut either!
To make a quick and easy, beautifully designed snow candle all you need is a creative thought, a few minutes and maybe a helper or two!
Palm wax is incredibly versatile and looks just like snow and so is the perfect choice for a quick center piece option for your Christmas feast!
What you will need:
- Palm Wax (any of our palm waxes are suitable)
- Clear Vessel (this could be a vase, a bowl, some of our beautiful glassware range)
Directions:
For our Snow Candle, we have used some Geraldton wax bush from the garden here at Aussie Candle Supplies to create our look as well as water for our snow to float above the decorations.
We started by cleaning the vessel, then we placed our botanicals into the jar.
We filled the jar to the level of the botanicals with cold water. Then we poured some wax into one of our plastic pouring jugs (any jug will do),
we then slowly let the snow fall into our jar until it reached almost the top of the jar.
We then wiggled the jar very slowly and carefully to level the snow.
Taking the wick, we gently wiggled the wick tab into the wax and made sure that the wick was sitting straight and were well spaced and as evenly positioned as possible (not too close the edge of the jar and not too close together).
Give the vessel another shuffle/wiggle for the wax again to settle, light the wicks and enjoy!
