Hey candle junkies! I recently had the opportunity to try a trio of scents from Cue and I’m excited to share my insights with you.
I’ve been meaning to write this review forever, but just couldn’t find the time until now (I have so many other candles I’ve tried that I haven’t written reviews for yet either). Better late than never with this one, so here we are.
Here are my thoughts on the Lavender Eucalyptus, Orchard Path, and Brown Sugar Pumpkin candles and Cue candles in general..
TL;DR Quick Review Summary
Cue truly impress with their innovative OpenWick design, diverse and delightful scents, and clean, even burn. The (OpenWick) dual wicks on these candles were incredible, like I honestly wish that all candles would use these wicks, the burns were so clean, so even, and I never had any issues whatsoever.
I’ve gotta give these candles 9.7/10 rating and I stand by that wholeheartedly.

The First Sniff
Lavender Eucalyptus: Not your typical lavender at all. The eucalyptus hits first – sharp and clean – then mellows into this soft lavender that’s less ‘old lady soap’ and more ‘fancy spa.’
Orchard Path: This captures that perfect moment in an apple orchard when everything’s ripe. It’s not just sweet apple – there’s that earthy smell of fallen leaves and damp soil that makes it feel authentic.
Brown Sugar Pumpkin: This is what I wanted all those trendy pumpkin spice candles to smell like but never did. Less artificial sweetness, more like actual pumpkin bread in the oven.
Thoughts After Lighting Up These Candles
These innovative dual wicks make lighting up easy and without any fuss, I hope I don’t sound too salesy with how much I am praising these wicks, but they are really that good. You might be thinking that there are plenty of candles with two wicks, so why are these ones special? You just need to try them, then you’ll know.
The Scent Experience When Burned
Okay, candle fam, let’s chat about these scents over the entire burn time now.
First up, Lavender Eucalyptus – Once burning, the scent evolves beautifully. The initial eucalyptus becomes more subtle and atmospheric, while the lavender deepens and becomes more herbaceous. About an hour in, there’s this gorgeous moment where both notes find perfect balance – not too medicinal, not too floral. Even after extinguishing, the scent lingers softly, maintaining that spa-like quality without becoming overwhelming. It’s become my signal to my brain that it’s time to decompress.
Then, there’s Orchard Path. The warmth really brings out the complexity here. Those deeper earth notes emerge first as the wax pools, then the apple note blooms gradually – fresh and crisp rather than candy-sweet. After about two hours, you get this amazing balance where it smells like sun-warmed apples and rich soil. The throw is impressive but not overwhelming, filling the room without becoming cloying. As it cools, it leaves behind a subtle fruity-earthy scent that’s incredibly cozy.
Lastly, Brown Sugar Pumpkin – The heat transforms this scent completely. The brown sugar caramelizes in the air, creating this rich, warm base that the pumpkin spice floats on top of. About 30 minutes in, you start getting these waves of what smells exactly like caramelized sugar on a baking sheet. The spice notes – cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe a hint of clove – become more pronounced but never take over. After a few hours, it settles into this perfect balance of sweet and spicy that really does smell like something’s baking. The scent carries well through the house but stays cozy rather than aggressive. Fair warning though – it will make you hungry.
Performance and Burn
Exceptional burn quality with minimal issues. Ensure a full melt pool on the first burn to avoid tunneling, but these burn pretty great whether you always follow my “burn guidelines” or not.
The “Would I Get Another One Of These Candles?” Factor
Definitely! The burn quality and scents were exceptional, I really have no bad things to say about these candles.
Pro Tip: Ensure a complete melt pool on the first burn for an even burn and to maximize candle life.
Conclusion and Lasting Impressions
The candles from Cue stand out with a 9.7/10 rating for their delightful scents, innovative design, and clean burn.
They’re a must-try for anyone looking for a new candle that can actually stand behind it’s claim to quality.
